This week the Book Fair visited Aughadreena NS. 1st and 2nd Class took some time out from completing tests and enjoyed some reading. We were great at helping each other choose books. Have a look at our pictures!

1st and 2nd class have been working on Capacity in maths. We worked in groups to measure how much water certain containers hold. We set up a table and grouped the containers according to what they can hold: - less than a litre - about a litre - more than a litre Have a look at home- have you containers that hold? - less than a litre - about a litre - more than a litre

Well done to all who took part in this years National Poetry Competition especially our four pupils who were among thirty winners chosen from 1300 entries. Their wonderful poems are on display below.

Well done to Mark for representing Aughadreena NS in the Eason's County Spelling Bee competition. Mark did incredibly well in handling some very tough words and keeping his cool throughout the competition.

Well done to our school relay teams who took part in the schools relay event this week. Competition was very stiff on the day but our two teams did us proud.
