Carol Service 2018
Our Christmas Carol Service took place on Wednesday the 19th of December in St Dympna’s Church Upper Lavey at 7pm .It was a great night and all children enjoyed it. The service began with the junior infant performance of the Nativity. They were helped on the night by senior infants, who also preformed some carols and poems. Each class then performed on the altar.
First and second began with the lovely song 'Do You Hear What I Hear' .This was followed by a lively song 'Shake it Up' .Everyone was joining in and having fun. Third and Fourth were next to perform and they did a wonderful job. They sang 'Stars Have Come Out' and 'Knock on the Door'. Fifth and sixth were the last to perform their songs. They began with the beautiful 'Amhrán Nollaig' and finished with a festive favourite 'This Christmas'. The carol service came to an end with all children singing jolly Christmas songs. It was a really good night. We would like to thank all who attended on the night. We would like to say a special thank you to Father Andrew Tully and the sacristan Marie Brady for their help. We would also like to thank Brian Brady our bus driver Pat Smith, Pat Tierney and the school orchestra and soloists. We hope you enjoy looking at the photographs from this great night.
We raised €470.63 for our school playground!
